The Certification Process ensures that an integration meets Cobre’s technical, operational, and security standards before going live. This process validates that the integration is correctly implemented, behaves as expected under different scenarios, and can reliably handle real-world transaction flows.By completing certification, integrators demonstrate that their systems are fully prepared to operate in a production environment. Objectives#
The Certification Process is designed to ensure that integrators:Correctly implement Cobre APIs
Properly handle asynchronous events (webhooks)
Build reliable and fault-tolerant integrations
Process transactions accurately and consistently
Follow best practices for security and error handling
Process#
The Certification Process consists of two main steps:1. Questionnaire Completion#
Integrators must complete a questionnaire related to the APIs they have implemented. This step helps validate:Understanding of the integration flows
Correct usage of endpoints
Handling of key scenarios (e.g., errors, edge cases, and webhooks)
The questionnaire is completed during the certification session, where the solution demo is also reviewed. It can also be completed offline if preferred.
2. Live Demo Validation#
The integrator must conduct a live demonstration of their integration. The client showcases their implementation in their testing or production environment
The integration is tested against Cobre’s QA environment, or, for products not yet available in QA, an isolated pre-go-live testing instance — see Pre-go-live testing instance for how it's isolated from your eventual live environment Key flows and scenarios are validated in real time
This step ensures that the integration works end-to-end under real conditions.
3. Certification Report & Results#
After the evaluation, Cobre provides a certification report with the results of the integration.Detailed feedback on the implementation
Identified issues (if any)
Recommendations and opportunities for improvement
Based on these results, the integration will be considered certified or will require adjustments before Go Live.
How to Request Certification#
Once the integration is complete, the client can request the certification process. To initiate the process:#
Contact your Key Account Manager (KAM) or your Integration point of contact
Coordinate a certification session
Prior to the session:#
Review the certification questionnaire
Ensure all questions can be answered
Have the integration fully prepared for the live demo
Being properly prepared will help ensure a smooth and efficient certification process.
