This functionality allows you to obtain FX quotes between a currency pair.
To receive a quote, simply provide the currency pair and the amount you wish to exchange in your request.
The API will return the resulting amount along with a detailed breakdown of the associated fees.When requesting a quote, please keep the following considerations in mind:The generated quote is valid for 1 minute.
This endpoint enforces an idempotency period of 15 seconds.
Only the most recent quote can be used to initiate a cross-border money movement.
This endpoint validates the limit assigned to the client, considering the operation schedule and the currency pair.
The minimum quoted amount is $50 USD or its equivalent in other currencies.
Operation Schedules#
These operations are executed within the predefined time windows for each currency pair.
Schedules vary depending on the market and, therefore, the currency pair.
Below are the time windows during which operations can be executed.

Operations executed within these timeframes are considered On Market.
Schedules are expressed in the UTC-5 timezone.
Clients have separate limits per operation schedule, meaning Off Market operations do not affect the On Market limit.

Quote Types#
Cobre offers different quotation types that may or may not require pre-funding, as well as the ability to lock FX rates.
Below are the main differences to help you choose the best option for your operation.Differences between Static Quotes and Rolling Quotes#

In all cases, both quotation types are valid for 1 minute to create a cross-border money movement.

What is a static_quote?#
This quotation type allows cross-border money movements only if sufficient funds exist in the source account.Both source_amount and destination_amount are calculated using the market FX rate and spread at the time the quote is generated.1
Fund the source account
Fund the source account with an amount equal to or greater than the quoted value.
Funding methods vary by geography.

Create a Static Quote
Select the currency pair and define whether you want to quote by source_amount or destination_amount.

Create the cross-border money movement
The money movement will be created in initiated status and move directly to processing.
If funds are insufficient, it will transition to failed.

Money movement status change
The movement in processing status will transition to completed.

Receive funds in the destination account
Funds are credited based on the calculated destination_amount.
