Cobre enables businesses to pay beneficiaries abroad in USD over SWIFT, directly from the platform. Payments are executed automatically, without a manual step by the Cobre Ops team, so international payouts follow the same Money Movement model as every other payout and scale without added operational effort.

With SWIFT payouts, Cobre allows companies to:

2. SWIFT Payouts in the Cobre Model

A SWIFT payout in Cobre is a cross-institution money movement with the following characteristics:

3. Key Capabilities

3.1 Automated Execution

International payments no longer depend on the Cobre Ops team to be processed one by one. Once a SWIFT payout is created and, when applicable, approved, it is submitted automatically. This removes a manual step, reduces operational dependency, and makes international payouts easier to scale.

3.2 International USD Payments

Companies can pay beneficiaries outside the United States in USD without needing a local rail in the destination country. This extends the payout experience used for local rails to beneficiaries anywhere the SWIFT network reaches.

3.3 One Model Across Rails

SWIFT payouts use the same Counterparty and Money Movement model as local payouts. Teams that already pay through Fedwire or other rails manage SWIFT payments the same way they manage the rest.

Arrival time depends on the beneficiary's bank, any intermediary banks in the route, and banking hours in the destination country. Because Cobre submits the payment automatically, the time to submit a payout is no longer affected by manual processing, but the time it takes to arrive still depends on the banks involved.
